today is "that's been done already" thursday. on thursdays, i will recommend a cover of a song, especially one that changes the genre of the song. sorry if you feel like these are just "punk goes pop" tracks. i promise to mix it up a little.
this is a day to remember's rendition of kelly clarkson's "since u been gone," which can be found as a bonus track on the reissue of their sophomore album, "for those who have heart," and on their b-sides ep, "attack of the killer b-sides." i had to include that because the album art on that ep is so cool.
many argue that this cover's popularity on myspace is what jumpstarted the band's path to success. whether or not that's true, this track still kicks butt.
